TCAL is delighted to welcome Konstantinos Georgopoulos as its newest faculty member. His addition further strengthens the lab’s academic and research community and creates new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of innovative research activities. The Technology and Computer Architecture Lab recently organized an invited seminar at the CEID – Computer Engineering and Informatics Department on “Reliable Computing Systems for Space Applications”. The talk was delivered by Dimitris Agiakatsikas from the University of Piraeus and SOLIDKOSMOS S.A., whom we warmly thank for the visit and the insightful presentation.

Prof. George Papadimitriou has contributed an article to HiPEACinfo 76, the official magazine of the European HiPEAC Network of Excellence. The article highlights the need to rethink traditional performance-centric design paradigms and emphasizes that energy efficiency and reliability must become first-class objectives for sustainable and dependable computing systems.
